About RU Green? Challenge

The RU Green? Challenge is a SIFE Ryerson initiative which encourages individuals to make environmentally sustainable decisions. The challenge will take place starting on Earth Hour, March 31st at 8:30pm and will run until June 30th.

The purpose of the RU Green? Challenge is to create awareness of environmental sustainability, and to combine individual efforts in order to generate a substantial positive impact on the environment.

The initiative challenges high schools, universities and the global community to make small lifestyle changes to achieve extraordinary results.

The challenge awards points for environmentally sustainable actions, known as "Acts of Green", such as taking public transit, recycling, and switching to more energy efficient appliances. Register is easy and free so get ready, get set, green!

Rules

At the RU Green Challenge we only have one rule: COMMIT TO MAKING THE WORLD GREENER!

Although picture or video proof is optional - we highly encourage each participant to document their green initiatives. Completing 'Acts of Green' will allow all participants to make a real impact on the environment and give them an opportunity to be rewarded for their efforts.

All winners will be required to submit photo/video evidence of their green acts in order to receive their prize. If a participant fails to submit proof they will resign their right to receive a prize. The prize will then be awarded to the next top contributor.
